i admit i last time dont like 2e1 but not now, everyone in 2e1 seemed to not like my blog, coz i last time i say i dun like 2e1 in my blog.. but if i really hate the class would i be spending my time for the class tee??? ok, i have now changed my attitude towards class tee.. but why are they giving negative comments?? if u dun like my comment, just close it, why bother reading on??? u can say u like that class i dun mind, ppl have different likings and not all their opinions suit u, if they dun suit u, why bother waste ur time looking... and i can right here say that i have changed my attitude towards the class. while some others still hate the class but why dun you noe??? coz they are too coward or dun have a blog to type their thoughts down into their blog.. and a blog is a public online diary, its a diary!! so what i pen down is personal, u do not have to agree, it's up to u to read my blog, so if u dun like me so much, a simple thing to do is to close the window... maybe i am very stupid to say i hate my own class, to u i am indeed an idiot to say some fcking stuffs like that, ok i have change my attitude just to fit into 2e1 for the past 3 weeks, if i dun like i wont be doing this ok??? if u dun like me changing or feel i'm fcking extra in this class then pls dun look at me, i noe i am a sucker to all of u, and i noe that guy spamming my cbox also hate me, ok since now i have so many enemies in this class except fer some, then treat me as transparent... i last time say i hate 2e1 but i did not say i hate the people in 2e1... i noe every one is thinking i hate them if thats what u are thinking then let it be... maybe i should not haf even come to 2e1.... i have finish my comment, i noe, pls dun leave any message in my cbox coz fckers nid no replies from anybody... and i hate to say this, if u really hate me, i would like to change but is there any opportunities for me??? no, from the current view... nvr mind, this is the last yr together, maybe i should jus change the so called fcking attitude, and jus hope that what i do will pay off...

~Particulate of matter~

· Matter is anything that has mass and occupies space.

· Particulate model of matter used to explain basic structure of matter

· Suggests that all matter is made up of small discrete particles.

· Small discrete particles in matter are in constant and random motion.

· Three states of matter:

· Solid

· Liquid

· Gas

· Solid has definite shape(does not flow), definite volume and cannot be compressed

· Liquid has definite volume and cannot be compressed but does not have definite shape (can flow and take up space of container it occupies

· Gas does not have definite shape and volume.(takes up shape and volume of container) but can be compressed(into a smaller space)

· Kinetic Particle Theory of matter can be used to explain differences among solids, liquids and gases

· State of matter depends on arrangement of small discrete particles in matter and freedom of motion of these particles

~particulate model of solid~

1. particles in solid closely packed together in regular pattern

2. held in fixed positions by strong attractive forces

3. vibrate about their fixed positions and cannot slide past each other

4. cannot flow(as it can’t slide past each other)

5. therefore, it has a definite shape and volume

~particulate of liquid~

1. not as closely packed as those in solids

2. strong attractive forces still hold particles together(therefore has a definite volume)

3. not arranged in regular pattern

4. can vibrate but not about fixed positions as in solids

5. can move around or slide past each other

6. therefore, does not have definite shape and can flow and take up the shape of its container

~particulate of gas~

1. widely spread out(particles)

2. forces of attraction between particles are weak and sometimes negligible(therefore, move freely and randomly in all directions at high speeds, colliding with one another and with the walls of the container){this explains why gas can fill up any container quickly and completely}[thus, taking up the shape and volume of the container it is in]

3. can also be easily compressed into smaller space as particles are widely spread out

4. particles can be pushed closer together to fill spaces between the particles, therefore, taking up a smaller volume

~applying the Kinetic Particle Theory of Matter…~

Why does the volume of certain liquids not add up when we pour them together???

· When 30ml of alcohol is poured into a beaker of 30ml water, we get less than 60ml of mixture as alcohol dissolves into water

· When we pour alcohol into the beaker of water, particles of alcohol occupy some of the spaces between water particles., causing volume of mixture to be less than the sum of 2 separate volumes

· This does not happen when we pour oil into a beaker of water as oil does not dissolve in water.

· Oil particles do not enter into the empty spaces between water particles. Oil particles pile on top of water particles.

· Therefore, the sum of 2 separate volumes adds up to be the exact. E.g. 30ml of oil + 30ml of water = 60ml of mixture

Why do we smell perfume from a few metres away???

· Air particles are in constant random motion

· When perfume is being sprayed, perfume particles are bombarded by air particles resulting perfume particles traveling quite a distance from the source from where perfume is sprayed.

Why can gases be compressed but not solids or liquids???

· Solid particles and liquid particles(not as close as solid particles)are arranged close together in regular pattern while gas particles are very far apart from one another

· Compressing substance to make it occupy a smaller space

· A lot of empty spaces between gas particles, unlike solid and liquid particles

· Gas particles can be forced to move closer to one another by getting them to fill up the empty spaces(therefore, gas can be compressed to fill a smaller space) but not solid and liquid particles[spaces not big enough for these particles to fill, therefore cannot be compressed]

Why matter expands when heated???

· When matter is heated, the particles gain energy

· When they have more energy, they can move faster and so overcome the forces of attraction between them.( Enabling the particles to move further apart from one another)

· As particles move further apart, distance between the particles increases and so matter is said to expand when heated

Why matter contract when cooled???

· When matter is cooled, the particles lose energy

· When they lose energy, they have less energy to move(therefore particles move more slowly)

· At lower speeds, they are not able to overcome the forces of attraction between them and so they move closer to each other, resulting the distance between the particles decreases and matter is said to contract when cooled

Why are solids denser than gases???

ü Density=amount of matter per unit volume of a substance

ü Solids particles= packed closely together

ü Gas particles=loosely packed

ü Therefore, for one unit of volume, there are more particles packed in a solid than in liquid.

ü Similarly, there are more particles packed in a liquid than in gas

ü Therefore, the density of matter in solid state is usually the highest, followed by liquid then gas

Do you know water expands when cooled???

Although a matter in solid state usually has a higher density than when in liquid state, water is different

Fresh water becomes denser as it gets colder

Density of ice is lower than that of water

As water has a unique quality whereby it starts to expand(instead of contracting) when cooled from 4 degree Celsius to 0 degree Celsius

Since the mass of water and ice remained the same, it becomes less dense as it cools.

Hence, water has the highest density at 4 degree Celsius, meaning that the particles are most closely packed together at that temperature

Why does sound travel faster through solids and slower through liquids???

Ø Sound=transfer of energy in the form of waves

Ø Produced when particles vibrate

Ø Can travel when particles collide with one another, passing on the energy

Ø Travels at different speeds depending on what it is traveling through

Ø In solids, particles packed closely together

Ø Distances between particles are very small compared to liquids and gases

Ø So close together that they can collide with one another very quickly

Ø Hence, sound travel fastest in solids

Ø Sound travels faster in liquids than in gases because the particles are more tightly packed in liquids than in gases, although not as closely packed as solids

Ø Therefore, distances in liquids are shorter than in gases but longer than those in solids

Ø Sound travels 4 times faster in water than in air(that’s why certain sea animals can communicate with each other over long distances in the water)

Ø In gases, particles very far apart.

Ø In order for sound to travel through gases, particles must move quite a distance before they collide with other particles(therefore, sound travels the slowest through gases)

Ø Sound cannot travel through a vacuum as a vacuum does not have any matter; that is, it does not have any particles

i really loved the cartoon on Barefoot Gen, i watch finished the whole thing, i mean the differnt episodes:) for seniors who have no idea what i'm talking pls go to www.youtube.com and type in 'Barefoot Gen'. it shows a cartoon of the world war 2, bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. its quite touching.. and sad too...

What went well today???
I managed to calm Guo Jian down from being angry with *someone*. The peer tutoring was well done.. have great fun with Guo Jian, Kai Keat talking crap and laughing like mad.

What did not go well?
Xing Cheng is practically pissing me off. But thanks to Guo Jian for calming me down indirectly.

What have I learnt?
Friends are not forever. They backstab, give attitude, doing things you don’t like that affects you in a way or the other. It’s always good to trust a friend. Sadly, most of them are from upper secondary and only a small percent from my class.

lolxx today went buy the farewell cake haha... then for first time see rain so kiasu sia we went to a cake shop in the admiralty... they sell a big fruit cake looks like 800g only.. then i dont like the cake and i said we come back later...

sell bread no cake de still dare open shop do business... stupid lorxx

then went further in lorxx beside the sweet talk got the prince deli arh... WATER LEAKAGE!!! floor damn damp lor then we ran away sia...

hi, today i was thinking of the headlines on kaiyun dashing cross road haha so cool sia... but i think i fund another topic,, thanks to jingyi:) hoho interested??? if yes continue read... if not, go away!!!
before that, i would like to point out that i will be using a different way to update my blog,, one wif more colors and paragraphing..:)
the first ghost story happened in schl told by Jingyi is entitled,, Ms Mary,,

it so happen that that in the upper sec block lvl 2 (now),, a subject teacher of a particular class did not come.. (wat u would like ur teachers to do,, be absent:))so a teacher called ms mary walked in,, the class stood up and greeted her.. after greeting ms mary sat there on the teacher table after telling them to do their work for an hour and walked out again,, the class was very suspicious towards her behaviour,, a normal relief teacher would introduce themselves but she didnt.. class went to GO and check wif them the relief for their class[GO records things like tt],, but found there was no relief... it was after then they know that it was a kind soul of a dead teacher.. it was said that on the night she died,, ( as she likes to listen to a particular music, she played it again and again but tt nite she did not play it) the plug was not in no disc nothing that can make the radio work but it played that music again....

scary huh... that was only one,, also dun noe how she got so many story de lolxx... ok the next was a person commiting suicide in toilet jus above the guzheng room... wah lou eh... why say until our cca de... band dun haf story meh lolxx....

bear this in mind do not try to look straight to where the head is when head bent down,, ok??? according to jingyi you will see a boy running in front of row3 so dont take the risk look at person beside u...another thing is another personal experience of evon,, as she's not that outstanding last time she is hardworking and always stay in guzheng room till 6++ the go home then one day she was in guzheng room wif another person(forget who he/she is) and she was playing da chang jin when she heard a person singing by the tune... this is another story told by ex seniors, when school built guzheng room on first floor of dnt block,, a person was self practicing alone then coz she did not on fan and have been practicing for the pas few hrs the same song, he went outside and took a break...then when he look in from outside saw the file of notes flipping while theres soft music from the guzheng.....

this shows the importance of not practicing alone in guzheng,, bear this in mind we have nice seniors they dont possibly turn your offer down if u wan practice wif them unless they really not free,, ok those are reminders for you....... bb...

hi guys... just do my senior jingyi test and got 70% haha:) high horxx only the junior know the senior best,, lol jkjk.. isnt this a happy one??? lolzz of course la... then in class dunnoe which stupid idiot go take my english worksheet when we are having an activity in geography lesson,, after test jus junk my homework that nids to be passed for the day under table.. then the activity need walk around class de.. b4 that got check then disappear the next moment after activity curse that guy who took my worksheet,, go die smelling dby larhxx,, then i whole day not tat happy lehxx.. in class talk a lot de but today whole day not more than 20 sentences come out from my mouth lohxx usually abt 100+++ de lolxx .... then i go copy whole paper so mrs chuah wont say: u!! go home bring paper or go photocopy and put into my pigeon whole by 4!!! yesterday jus kena den today... so i took the iniative lohxx veri guai horxx haha lolxx.. then after school, mrs chuah dismissed us.. havent even pack finish bag go greet sia like i transparent de... ok fine i thought....unhappy thing rite??? then i went out of the class continue walking to guzheng room put bag,, was thinking that i so late come out confirm got ppl go take guzheng key open door lorhxx.. then walking till end of 2/3 class saw a whole bunch of senior there dont know do wat.. then lingjie somewat saw me and walk towards me and say
lingjie:'we seniors dont take key de,, as a junior go take key' ,, lolz
then i like bo chap
then he direct me to the door and pointed
lingjie:'look there'
i looked
lingjie: look at the door
me: why
lingjie:is it locked or not
me: ya
lingjie: then go take key!
i have been falling for wat he say everytime de..
lingjie: we seniors have been waiting outside guzheng room for bout 40 mins!!
me: fine, i go take
then saw cyn ray walking past thought she giving key but then is she wan to go back class so go from the staffroom the direction.. then called mrs ngoh to give key,, knock on the glass door so hard it nearly broke lehxx still cant hear.. then saw ms choo talking to some of my classmates,, talk talk and finally my classmates went away,, Finally i said, then called politely for ms choo to call mrs ngoh then she tell me wait and wait and wait,, then finally mrs rebekah lim appears wif the key,, excellent!!! then when walking back got 'road block' sia dunno why the upper sec gather round the com lab corridor... think they very big lorhxx take so much space still act ah beng in front of teacher... dare them to behave like them in front of their mother lohxx!!!
and finally, appeared wif the key in hand,, haha then senior quickly go take back while i unlock door and streamed in...
go in like so extra all sec4 lorhxx only i sec 2... then went to canteen for a walk.. nothing do go walk walk also quite good... then went back in 5 minutes later get into cca mood... then after the 3 performing songs together seniors rush out... but quite fun lahxx to see seniors who rarely appears in cca room from tuesday to thursday appears haha maybe my effort in smsing them.. lolxx jkjk... then nothing do went to mcdonald wif ling jie and yiyun and she told us how her fake hair was spreaded cross the class.. haha i started it,, told a person then he go shout to whole class ,, imagining she so paiseh,, i so bad sia,, lolzz then i think i cheered up during cca haha, meaning how Unimportant my class is to me(( class that only makes u depressed de))

rushing my project

need to rush my project lolz haven finish sia... tomorrow deadline le.. that history one.. so wu liao sia answer all in txtbk still nid us do ppt slides present,, think i chi bao mei shi zuo(too free).. nvr mind then need post on mr oh le,, he keep using the video explain,, like we understand.. dont let us try practical somemore,, in his lesson so sleepy one then cant sleep wish he can change his format dun si ban that kind ,, what make me more sleepy is the backlite where me sitting spoil somemore i at far corner there then lazy tell schol.. like leng gong leh,, lucky i train de lorxx,, lolz then during mrs chuah lesson didnt bring wrksht oni ma still nid go home take,, like me as free as her de lohxx,, lolzz,, most lucky of all during the home ec didnt bring txtbk didnt get scolded and name recorded,, haha lucky me.. then pe normal routine used to it le,, ya think that all haha in school,, still got cca that guy from sec1 hor act cute one once get praised by teacher nvr appear in cca room ani more lexx stupid guy zi da like he very clever ling jie banished him into the deepest cold palace,, lolzz but can see tt guy being hated very gd de.. so happy sia,, anyway last week le b4 seniors (sec4) disappear for good,, haizz so sad sia>>> anyway pls be reminded that there will be a short practice after school in cca room on tuesday and thursday and attendance compulsory on wednesday xinglin coming,, for sec 3 i have informed hui zhu to tell u all did she?? nvr mind i trust her and xiner,, by rite most of the sec 4 should have received my sms if i had ur number.. this is organised by ling jie any doubts ask him,, thanks anyway logging out le,, bb:)

graduating seniors

let me elaborate on my seniors.. starting with sec 4.. my first senior is guan wei. although not that tallhe is but quite a good seniors towards me. let me use a word to describe him. narcissus means a person who likes himself a lot. he's one of that kind.
to sum up, a nice senior who is very guai<>. also clever,, mine senior leh confirm clever la,, lolz:)
thanks to him, i am in performance group:)<>

next, will be ling jie. he is very fond of guzheng. a passionate learner towards guzheng. he taller than me by 3cm leh,, feel so short standing with him. he taught me quite a lot of cca stuff. thats how i get into performance group.<>
to sum up, a clever and passionate learner/senior with a kind heart.. <>//also veri clever one // although he dunno why transfer to combine science <> but at least cleverer than some ccas<<>>

kai yun, a very good guzhenist and positive too. she knows how to teach well although taught me yan bian oni but from that you can tell, she is patient and never complains <<>>. daring too.. <>
rounding up,, a nice senior with a daring and patient attitude. also veri clever.. <>:D

manting, a quiet girl<<>> but have a strong passion towards cca judging from guzheng practises.. although never taught me b4,, but very kind.. and an innocent face<>
round up, an innocent senior but quiet too. :p clever like the others<>

jingyi, a senior 24/7 smiling.. positive she is although she sometimes complains. never taught me before too. but always mixing round with ling jie her and yiyun.. quite fond in learning too.. have good performance in cca too.. :)
in conclusion, a positive senior who likes to smile( maybe side effects from guzheng) lolzz.. clever too <<>>

serene, quite a fierce senior[hes brother my fren leh, dont noe zai guai]. bookworm<<>>but patient in teaching. she taught me huo ba jie and yan bian and monitoring my gua hong deng..:)
in conclusion, a bookworm senior who clever and patient.

hilary, a shy senior who talks little like manting. <<>> never taught me before but quite nice { all my senior same la clever plus nice}.

tracy, quite crazy[shen jing po no 1, leader leh]. but quite ok, monitor a little of my gua hong deng{last time never get it rite one haixx so diu lian}.. talks little in cca but exceptionnal outside:)
summing up, clever senior shows good behaviour in school ONI.. (confirm clever la,, member of 4ism)
a negative comment on her is that, she never even lookjs into her blog,, i still waiting!!!

weili, a senior that is very open minded..( thats what i see) clever too,, ( as i said most of my senior veri clever, its hard to find a stupid one) never taught me( for those senior who never taught me b4,, i never knew how i get to know them). sam thing as tracy, hardly update blog,,
